Phnom Penh, 28 December 2021 – Out-of-pocket medical expenses in Cambodia reached $856 million[1] [as at 2018], reflecting the financial stress that Cambodian households face upon unforeseen health and medical conditions. Prudential, the largest life insurer in Cambodia[2], has launched PRUការពារប្រចាំថ្ងៃ package to make healthcare and financial security more accessible and affordable to more people in Cambodia.
PRUការពារប្រចាំថ្ងៃ is the latest in a series of digital insurance packages launched by the insurer to provide consumers with a simplified, end-to-end digital customer experience, offering protection from unexpected financial shocks and access to timely medical treatment. Customers can purchase, manage and submit claims through the Pulse by Prudential app, with the policy instantly issued upon successful application and payment, all at their fingertips.
This customisable digital insurance solution is designed with customers’ demand for convenience and affordability in mind. Available in four affordable packages, customers can select and gain immediate protection at as low as $9.9 per year.

PRUការពារប្រចាំថ្ងៃor package can be purchased on PRUShopee within the Pulse App. Upon completion of the form and payment, the policy is issued immediately. Launched in 2020, Pulse is a health and wealth management app and the first of its kind in the region to offer holistic health and wealth management to consumers. It is available in Khmer and English for free download from the App Store and Google Play. Users can easily register with their phone numbers.
