Residents in Svay Rieng City can now exercise in a more active, healthy and sociable way as Prudential Cambodia, the country’s leading life insurer, supports the construction of exercising space at a public park located at the centre of the provincial town.

The new exercising space and facilities form part of Prudential’s “WeDoHealth” initiative, which aimed to help enhance health and fitness across Cambodia through comprehensive wellness programmes, said Prudential Cambodia CEO Mr. David Nutman.

“It is important for Svay Rieng residents to have access to safe and customised fitness equipment to help them improve not only their physical health, but also mental wellness. Prudential Cambodia is committed to promoting better wellbeing and healthier lifestyles as part of its role to safeguard long term health and financial protection in the country.”

As part of its effort to promote health across Cambodia, Prudential previously donated more than 300 benches for public parks in eight provinces to encourage people to spend more time outdoor.

“The fitness facilities we have sponsored in Svay Rieng City this time round include cycling and running machines, as well as weight-lifting and balance-boosting equipment. We are pleased for the local community to enjoy more exercising space and leisure activities that help enhance their health and wellbeing,” Mr. Nutman added.

To Mrs. Kong Sophon, a resident of Svay Rieng City, the public fitness facilities are exactly the motivation she needs to start developing a good exercising habit.

“It is great for Prudential to add these facilities to the park. I know many of my neighbours are paying more attention to their health, and I myself look forward to visiting the park more often to keep fit and have fun,” she said.

Prudential Cambodia has initiated its new brand campaign “WeDO” in 2019 with a focus to enhance customer experience and deliver comprehensive solutions to meet customers’ needs in protection, health and wellness, savings and retirement plans
